The official announcement of the Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) MetaScholars program dropped last week, April 6th and without surprise it’s timely launch sent a clear message to the Web3 community that the Innovation & Entrepreneurship division of TMCF along with it’s corporate sponsors is fully vested in developing next-gen innovators and entrepreneurs. TMCF I&E programming exposes HBCU & PBI students to the tenants of innovation and entrepreneurship, this includes but is not limited to: Design Thinking, communication, critical-thinking , creativity, entrepreneurship coaching, collaboration and a host of other forward facing technical and soft-skills that have been identified by Leaders as “must-haves” for the modern and future skills-force. TMCFs bold step into the Metaverse, Web3 and Crypto also signifies a conscious effort towards reducing what is being coined as the “meta-divide” as it pertains to people of color.
